Victoria, located on Route 70, is often referred to as the "crossroads to Trinity and Conception Bays." Victoria may have been named after the Queen of England. It is approximately 51 km from the Trans Canada Highway (TCH) and 114 km from St. John's. Settled in the early 1800s possibly because the residents were involved in the Labrador fishery.
