Message from the Recruiting Officer at the Trinity-Conception District
All new applicants Dear Sir/Madam: The recruiting process commences, with an orientation session. This information session is mandatory and outlines the RCMP, it's requirements, and provides you with an open forum to address issues of concern. You may identify the next orientation date by calling (709) 596-5014 or attend the front desk of the RCMP Detachment, where you may also receive an information pamphlet. These pamphlets, one for civilian members and regular members, summarize requirements for acceptance. The next stage commences after the orientation session. RCMP regular member applications receive a RCMP vision form that you must have completed at your own cost and by an Ophthalmologist/Optometrist. You then submit this form to the front desk, along with the following:
You must submit the above completed and together. Your Vision form will be processed. The minimum eye standards are: Not less than 6/18 in each eye or, 6/12 in one eye and 6/30 in the other. Vision must be correctable to 6/6 or 6/9 or better. Subsequently, you will be notified of your result. Those who meet the vision standard will then proceed in the process to the next stage, the exam process. You will be notified of the date, time and place of the exam. You should also be advised that applicants may find their file being processed quite quickly. Therefore, it is incumbent on applicants to ensure that they retain a physical fitness standard sufficient to meet the RCMP Physical Abilities Requirement Exam. For further questions or to find out the next scheduled information session, please contact the undersigned member at (709) 596-5014. Thank you for your interest in the RCMP and I look forward to seeing you at the next information session. Respectfully, Trinity Conception District |
