Police Services for Senior Citizens
Objectives
There are three objectives underlying the policing services for senior citizens:
- Reducing the opportunity of seniors becoming victimized through educational awareness programs;
- Reducing seniors' fears of criminal victimization; and
- Drawing upon the elderly population as a resource in the delivery of community-based services.
